The sport of field trialing pointing dogs has a long and rich history dating back to the late 1800s. It's full of tradition, culture, legacy and a love for bird dogs. The Southern Bird Hunters Association (SBHA) is a field trialing organization that strives to continue that legacy with a desire to pass it down to future generations.
This week on Unleashed, we're at the SBHA Futurity and Puppy Classic in South Carolina to watch English Pointers, English Setters, German Shorthair Pointers and other pointing dogs work. We'll chat with Marty Robinson, president of SBHA, and learn the ins and outs of the field trial sport.
