In this video, I talk about the unique Hasidic economy, which is primarily centered around the Hasidic community's unique needs. This allows for it to be a localized economy with many mom and pop shops and small businesses, but it also means that there are constant economic interests seeking out new markets. The Chanukah market, like the Christmas market, has grown enormously over the years. In this video I show some of how this presents and discuss the economic and religious implications.
