Early-stage breast cancer patients receive faster treatment

Local patients with early-stage breast cancer have been receiving a fast-track version of radiation and chemo therapy since 2013 at KU Med, and soon it will be the norm across the nation. The treatment can be done in as little as three weeks and research is showing that the shorter treatment is connected to a better quality of life.
