As a child of the '80s, one of my favorite movies from the era has to be the original RoboCop. Seeing Alex Murphy whack people with that amazing gun, him driving like a lunatic, the satirical news stories, the 3000 SUX, what was there not to love? You can imagine my excitement when I heard that there was going to be a game set between the first two movies called RoboCop: Rogue City. Originally announced for the Nintendo Switch, Xbox, and PlayStation, I was really excited to get it on the Switch. Well, the PlayStation and Xbox versions are out and unfortunately, it looks like the Switch version has been canceled.

According to Variety Magazine:
The game was first announced in July 2021 with a release set for June 2023. But, it was delayed and pushed back to November. In addition, Teyon and Nacon planned for “RoboCop: Rogue City” to be playable on the Nintendo Switch set for sometime in 2024. Nevertheless, the Nintendo release was cancelled altogether in Oct. 2023.

I'm not going to lie, I am really disappointed to hear this. I loved the RoboCop movies and was looking forward to the game. I will probably end up picking up now for the PlayStation 5, but I'm going to have to wait for it to go on sale. Well I love the series, I don't want to drop 60 bucks on this.

Have you played it yet? What do you think of it? Let me know your thoughts down in the comments.
