Some technologies are forbidden; others are somehow kosher.

While television and movies are a no-no; some technologies are acceptable for use by the most conservative Hasidim. In this short video, Hasidic men are purportedly watching footage of a virtual tour of the temple, to evoke sadness at its destruction. The men are sitting on low stools because this is on Tisha Ba'av, the fast day on which the destruction of the temple is commemorated. One of the ways in which this day is observed is by sitting on low stools, just as people would if they were in the first seven days of mourning after losing a close relative. I have never seen the virtual reality tour but that it is considered kosher and inspiring for a fast day is very interesting to me.
