Hasidic ad || A proper PASSOVER plate is ALL SILVER

More in my series of Hasidic ads, I've been seeing so many silver store ads lately. It is the ultimate example of how certain segments of the Hasidic community have experienced growing affluence, and how that wealth has been directed towards "elevating the spiritual", by adoring religious events with ever more beautiful pieces of silver. The typical Hasidic sedar plate is almost the size of a men's fur hat (shtreimel) because it not only has a sedar plate, but also a three-level compartment for the matzahs. It's striking to me how unabashedly materialistic these ads are, how ostentatious and EXPENSIVE, and how little focus the silver store creators devote to the cost. It is almost as if, in trying to create a brand that exhibits status and wealth, they don't even try to address concerns about exorbitant costs. No doubt the backlash to these materialistic trends will keep growing along with the extravagance of the products, and the ads.
