Why Are We So Cynical and Suspicious of Politicians

So many people hate politicians both Democrat and Republican and sadly that is just a fact today. Most folks neither trust politicians nor respect them. Voters I talk to throughout the U.S. say they have lost faith in our political leaders citing everything from their dishonesty and corruption to their misuse of taxpayer dollars and bridge to nowhere projects. For the record I also sadly realize that most folks these days hate news reporters and often deservedly so although that is another story for another day. Where politics are concerned I decided to ask two California State Senators from different parties about the cynicism and distrust the public has for politicians and how this could possibly change. This is news reporter David Nazar and here is part of my interview with Democrat Senator Josh Newman and Republican Senator Scott Wilk.
