The World Health Organization has said Gaza is in an imminent public health catastrophe and that the mass displacement of people has led to overcrowding and a lack of sanitation.
The United States said it's optimistic the number of aid trucks entering Gaza will soon increase to about one hundred a day.
The Israel Defence Force has reported engaging in - what it described as – “fierce battles” with Hamas.
Thousands of buildings have been destroyed in Gaza and people have little access to water, food, fuel and other essentials.
