Man shoots, kills suspect on Indianapolis' east side; claims self defense

A person was shot and killed Sunday morning on Indy’s east side by a man who told police it was an act of self-defense during an attempted robbery. Around 3:30 a.m., officers with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department found an unresponsive man shot in the 3000 block of Bavarian West Drive.
