Hi yogis and welcome to my channel!

This restorative yoga class is all about just relaxing and restoring our energy. The intention is to help you recharge your energy batteries with this restorative yin yoga class that will leave you feeling stress free, calm and relaxed.
We will only do two poses, a supported forward fold and a supported back bend. You definitely want to use a bolster for this class, if you don't have one you could always use a dense pillow or two blocks instead. This is a 30-minute class suitable for all levels, as it's very beginner friendly.

What is Yin Yoga?
Yin Yoga is a meditative practice that aims to balance out the yang energy in our lives. Although Yin Yoga uses many of the same poses as Hatha or Vinyasa yoga, the poses focus on the connective tissues of the body, such as fascia, tendons, and ligaments, rather than the muscles.

There are 3 primary principles of Yin Yoga:
1. Find your edge: Never cross your body’s limits and risk any injuries. In Yin less is more. On a scale of 1-10 in levels of intensity we want to stay at about a 5.

2. Be still: Relax your muscles & don't fidget while in a pose to distract yourself. Focus on the breath.

3. Hold the pose: In Yin we hold the poses from 1-10 min, depending on the level of the student and the intensity of the pose.
