At last, I found myself in my own remote neighbourhood, torn and blood-stained and broken, lifeless, walking along my deserted but familiar street, and all the silent houses were staring at me with a hostile air, as I walked past, unbearably sad, because I had not stopped at the moment my mother wanted, because I hadn't said ''yes'' to Mr. Knoll, because I hadn't let the Assassins exterminate me.
And now a star - studded, frozen sky was crushing me and forcing me to rush, although dragging my footsteps, towards home.
