US expert issues warning over 'Iranian-backed army’ in southern Lebanon

Sky News US contributor Michael Ware says southern Lebanon is “completely controlled” by Hezbollah, which he warns has essentially become an “Iranian-backed army”.

Israel carried out airstrikes against military infrastructure in the south of Lebanon a few days ago in response to alleged mortar and rockets fired by Hezbollah.

The militant group has launched small ground attacks and anti-missile rockets throughout the war but has largely “not got involved” for two reasons, according to Mr Ware.
