🇯🇲 On October 30, 2023, the German Research Center for Geosciences (GFZ) reported a 5.7-magnitude earthquake in Jamaica, near Kingston, which occurred at 10:57 AM local time at a shallow depth of 10 km.

Several hours later, after data verification and refinement of their calculations, seismologists revised the earthquake's magnitude, reducing it to 5.4.
