Esther McVey MP, picks up on the vaccine catchphrase ‘safe & effective’ which cropped up everywhere- government communications, media, health experts & campaigning celebrities.

The ‘safe & effective’ slogan became so ingrained in the national psyche that to question it risked being called a science-denier, an antivaxxer or a granny-killer. People who rightly wanted to question this ‘novel product’ were closed down & vilified.

But asking questions remains an important part of any scientific or indeed a political debate.
