Mike Johnson Impugned As 'David Duke-Lite' And Just As Bad As The Maine Mass Murderer

Bill Maher and one of his guests on Friday impugned new House Speaker Mike Johnson with particularly low blows equating him to a KKK leader and a mass murderer. Scott Galloway, a professor at New York University’s Stern School of Business who had a show on the short-lived CNN+, charged “the reason this guy is Speaker is none of us have the time to read his resume and realize he’s David Duke-lite.” Maher pushed back on that characterization, but offered his own invective, calling Johnson “a religious nut” before raising the mass murderer of 18 in Maine: “Apparently he heard voices and I thought, ‘Is he that different than Mike Johnson?’” That generated laughter from the audience in Los Angeles.
