Haste makes waste

- Whether you are looking to add muscle or lose body fat especially in contest prep, don’t rush it.
- Haste makes waste.
- If your goal is to gain muscle and you increase your calories substantially, you will gain a lot of bodyfat and not much more muscle.
- If your trying to lose bodyfat and you drop your calories too low you will end up losing some muscle and your metabolism will decrease dramatically in the process.
- If you want to add muscle without gaining too much fat extra fat step your calories up.
- If you want to lose bodyfat successfully while maintaining muscle mass and a descent metabolic rate, step your calories down.
- With both processes, measure your bodyfat and body weight and make sure that what your gaining is mostly muscle or what your losing is mostly bodyfat.
- Most importantly, make sure you don’t rush each process.
- Like anything you do, Haste makes waste. Don’t make extreme changes. It won’t end up giving you extreme results.
