6 Coloradoans have brought a petition seeking to have the Court direct Colorado's Secretary Of State to remove Trump from the ballot for the 2024 election. They allege that the U.S. Constitution Am. 14, Section 3 bars any person who "engaged in insurrection" from holding office as President of the United States. They further claim, that Trump's role in the siege of the Capitol on January 6, qualifies as "engaging in insurrection" and disqualifies him from running for office.

On Day 1, we heard testimony from 2 officers who defended the Capitol and U.S. Rep. Eric Swalwell. Today, we expect to hear testimony from Petitioners' selected "legal experts" who are expected to pitch Petitioners' novel theory as being valid.
