Rocket barrages were launched from Lebanon towards northern Israel on Sunday. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) reported that they targeted terror cells and sites associated with the Hezbollah group.

These incidents occurred amidst ongoing clashes along the northern border and while the IDF was engaged in a conflict with Hamas terrorists in the Gaza Strip to the south.

According to the IDF, rockets were fired from Lebanon into the upper and western Galilee region multiple times during the day, triggering sirens in various towns, including Kiryat Shmona, Nahariya, Shlomi, Tuba-Zangariyye, Rosh Pina, Ayelet Hashahar, and Hatzor Haglilit.

The IDF managed to intercept several of the projectiles using air defenses, while others landed in open areas without causing damage. One rocket struck a home in Kiryat Shmona on Sunday evening, but fortunately, no injuries were reported, the Times of Israel reported.
