First Victim Shot In Maine Lost His Father In A Random Shooting In A Walmart Parking Lot 4 Years Ago
The little sister of Maine's mass shooter's first victim revealed that this isn't the first time gun violence has rocked their family. Justin Karcher, 23, was the first victim of Robert Card, 40, in the tragic mass shooting that devastated the community in Lewiston, Maine, on Wednesday. While Karcher is fighting for his life on a ventilator after undergoing surgery for his gunshot wounds - his little sister Haley Breton, 21, revealed that Karcher's father was shot dead in a Walmart parking lot in 2019.
'In 2019, his father got shot in a Walmart parking lot. He didn't know the guy at all. That was a hard, hard day,' Breton told Chris Cuomo in a NewsNation interview. Karcher - who was shot in the liver, spinal cord, shoulder and stomach - was rushed to the ICU after Wednesday's mass shooting broke out in Schemengees, a bar in Lewiston, Maine.
