Storm Shield mid-morning update 10/10/17

We'll still have 15-25 mph winds in our mountains today, bringing in that warm dry air that will spike Bakersfield's high to 90 this afternoon. The Kern River Valley will top out in the lower 80s today but with the winds calming down unfortunately I think that means we'll have more smoke from the Lion Fire filling into the Kern River Valley. The Tehachapi and Frazier Park areas are still very dry with that easterly breeze taking them to the lower 70s this afternoon, warm for this time of year.
