The fate of refugees - Uganda to maintain open door policy as global refugee forum approaches

Uganda is to maintain its open door policy for people running away from danger and seeking safety in the country.
Minister for Relief, Disaster Preparedness and Refugees Engineer Hilary Onek says refugees will remain part of Uganda’s National Development Plan in all essential aspects of life.
The assurance comes barely months to the upcoming Global Refugee Forum due to take place in Geneva Switzerland in December 2023.
