Minor injuries were reported after a large fire at a motel in Warren on Tuesday morning. It happened at the America's Best Value Inn between 13 and 14 Mile on Van Dyke. We're told five people were inside the room when the fire broke out outside of the room. Those people were a grandmother, mother, two sons and a son's fiance. They didn't believe they'd make it out alive. Fire crews believe the fire originated outside of the room, which caused much of the damage, and much of the fire was contained to the outside. In all, two rooms were damaged. Two people suffered minor burns to their arms and hand. The family believes the fire was intentionally set but fire crews still are investigating the fire and how it started.
