Ann Marie Ackermann is a former American prosecutor, now living in Germany. She has a love for history and became engrossed in the story of the 1835 assassination of a German Mayor, which took 37 years to solve. She dug deeper and followed the assassin through American archives. She wrote about this story, "Death of an Assassin: The True Story of a German Murderer Who Died Defending Robert E. Lee". Ann Marie joins us to discuss this historical account written in a true crime format. Ann Marie Ackermann has a couple of book signings in our area this week; see below for details.
