Recently, there have been some challenges between SAG-AFTRA and the studios. The latest is a letter from SAG-AFTRA with thousands of signatures, emphasizing their determination. Despite this, the hope is for a resolution by year's end. Everyone is eager to resume work.

Director Matt Shackman of The Fantastic Four is excited about the upcoming casting, which is yet to be finalized. A recent casting grid reveals that all roles are still in the offer stage. Surprisingly, Reed Richards won't be played by big names like Matt Smith, Adam Driver, or Jake Gyllenhaal.

Now, the latest on Marvel's Fantastic Four comes from reliable source Daniel RPK. As of October 26th, 2023, no actors have been confirmed. Offers have been made to Vanessa Kirby for Sue Storm, Evan Moss Bachrock for Johnny Storm, and Jake Gyllenhaal for Reed Richards. However, Jake might decline, and the role could go to a person of color. There's speculation about Dev Patel being a potential candidate.

Regarding villains, Antonio Banderas might play Galactus, and there's an unnamed female villain, possibly the herald of Galactus. Other new roles include a female supporting role and a male cameo for future projects.

I personally hope for Dev Patel as Reed Richards, as some of the previous choices didn't feel quite right. John Krasinski set a high standard, and it's intriguing that he might not return.
