Episode 43
Anna, a Belgian Draft Horse was rescued days before almost being sent to slaughter. She was starved, neglected and dumped at a kill pen here in Texas. Because of some amazing people networking horses in kill pens, I saw her posted in a group on Facebook. I knew if we didn't step in to help her that her fate would be much worse because of the condition she was in.

We saved her back in August and got her on the road to recovery with the medical attention she needed along with a slow progression of feed intake to get her up to a proper weight. If you haven't seen any of her video stories check them out in the links below.

If you have followed Anna's story from the beginning, she was still having some lameness issues on her back left leg so it was time to take her to the vets office too deep dive into why she was still having issues. This video is about what the vet found during her appointment, how we are treating her condition along with some of her background since arriving here on the farm if you haven't been following her story.
