Awesome Pheasant Hunt 2019

Awesome Pheasant Hunt 2019 was my first pheasant hunt ever, and I was 58 years old. I went with my grandfather when I was too young to handle a gun so I watched him but I was pretty small and do not remember much of it. My father quit bird hunting when I was maybe 4 or 5 years old, he passed away two years ago on July 24, 2017, and he gave me some 12 gauge shells that he had hand loaded way back when, (maybe as old as me). I have maybe eight boxes of #5 lead shot shells paper cases and paper wads that I can/will use, those shells are what I used in this video. My friend Dean Ehlers, and his two Brittany Spaniels Emmy and Julie invited me along for this hunt and I certainly hope they invite me for many more hunts like this, it was a great time. Things I learned on this day, be careful and pay attention to where everyone is, there is what looks like a questionable shot, but it is more of a funny wide angle camera view than a questionable shot, I need to have a modified choke, I never knew or remembered that you have to basically step on the birds before they fly, so a full choke is to tight of a pattern. Always trust the dogs, I was so impressed how they just naturally stand and point at the pheasants and absolutely do not move, pretty amazing stuff! Below are the addresses my YouTube channel which I no longer have access to, my Instagram page, HRI Services welding Facebook page, and my Facebook page Outdoor Pursuits.
