Animals evacuated to Kern County Fairgrounds after multiple fires

Animals evacuated from the Oildale and Cottonwood fires were transported to the Kern County Fairgrounds Monday afternoon. Displaced animals who need a place to stay can be dropped off at gate 26. Owners going to pick up their animals need to bring an ID and proof of ownership.
