The kids show Paw Patrol, where dogs are the main characters who have "hero-type" jobs from firefighter, police dog, and emergency aid dogs who save the day; have an episode where they added a non-binary character in an episode where the characters are building a observatory for stargazing.
The character, River, is shown wearing boots that has the transgender and non-binary colors on it, which many people noticed this as a way to sneak in LGBTQ content in a show.
An LGBTQ YouTuber Lindsay Amer talked about how she was asked to talk to the creators of the episode before the official episode aired.
Lindsay Amer claims this is going to be inspirational for kids.
Yet while shows like The Owl House have characters that are non-binary, they are human based, and are not other creatures.
Animals are not LGBTQ in any form of way, and should not be depicted as such, even in an actual TV show or cartoons. That is misleading kids and people who want to know about animals, or just want to see a show with animals in it.
Kids do not need to learn about LGBTQ or have it shoved in their face.
