Live from Athens for partial lunar eclipse

A partial lunar eclipse takes place in the skies of Athens on Saturday, October 28.

The eclipse will be visible over parts of Europe, Asia, Australia, Africa, North America, South America, the Pacific, Atlantic and Indian Oceans, as well as the Arctic and Antarctica.

During a partial lunar eclipse, only part of the Moon enters Earth's shadow, giving the impression that a 'bite' has been taken out of it. The Moon's surface also appears bright red for a few hours.
