Surcharge community forum in Eaton County

A second 911 surcharge pitch meeting in Eaton County to fund a new radio project is scheduled for Monday night in Charlotte. County officials say their radio communication system crucial to the job is outdated and soon beyond repair. That's why their turning to the public for help. The meeting is scheduled for 7 p.m. inside the Charlotte Performing Arts Center Monday. Members of the public will be allowed to ask questions about the project. Nearly 70 counties in the state of Michigan have a 911 surcharge.
