The holiday season is approaching and it's supposed to be a time of joy and celebration, but for many gamers, it can also be a time of disappointment and frustration. Why? Because many publishers and developers rush their games to meet the holiday deadline, resulting in buggy, unfinished, low-quality products.

I will explore a few examples of this worrying trend of release now, fix later, and how it affects the gaming industry and the gamers. There's a few examples of such disaster launches such as Halo Infinite, Cyberpunk 2077, and Payday 3. And I ask the question: what if game deadlines weren't so strict? Would the gaming industry be in better shape? Would we get better games?
