In this video we take a look at two old narrow gauge coaches. Both these passenger coaches are in HOe scale, and represent rolling stock from the "Liestal Waldenburg" Narrow Gauge Railway. They are made by Liliput and are part number L762A.
I'll show you the coach up close and give a review of these model train items.
I'll also make a recommendation if you should consider buying buying wagons like these vintage Liliput coaches for your model railway.

The Waldenburgerbahn, also known as the Waldenburger Railway (Waldenburgerbahn in German), is a narrow-gauge railway located in Switzerland. It connects the town of Liestal with the picturesque village of Waldenburg in the canton of Basel-Landschaft. Here is some information about the Waldenburgerbahn:

History: The Waldenburgerbahn was opened in 1880 and is one of Switzerland's oldest narrow-gauge railways. Its primary purpose was to provide transportation for both passengers and freight between Liestal and Waldenburg. At the time, such railways were essential for connecting remote and mountainous regions.

Gauge: The railway uses a narrow-gauge track, which means the distance between the rails is less than the standard gauge used by most railways. In the case of the Waldenburgerbahn, the gauge is 750 mm (2 ft 5 1⁄2 in), making it a classic example of a Swiss narrow-gauge railway.

Scenic Route: The Waldenburgerbahn is renowned for its scenic route through the picturesque landscape of the Basel-Landschaft region. Passengers can enjoy stunning views of rolling hills, forests, and charming Swiss villages along the way.

Commuter Service: In addition to serving tourists, the railway has been an important means of transportation for the residents of the region, providing a vital connection between Liestal and Waldenburg. Over the years, it has also adapted to modern commuter needs.

Rolling Stock: The railway operates a fleet of vintage and modern rolling stock, including historic locomotives and carriages. This mix of old and new adds to the charm of the railway.

Preservation Efforts: The Waldenburgerbahn has faced challenges and changes over the years, including the threat of closure in the late 20th century. However, efforts have been made to preserve and modernize the railway, ensuring it continues to serve both tourists and commuters.

Tourism: Today, the Waldenburgerbahn is a popular tourist attraction, especially for railway enthusiasts and those looking to explore the Swiss countryside. It offers a nostalgic and scenic journey through a beautiful part of Switzerland.
