Chickadee on Ice: Frozen Birdbath

This poor black capped chickadee was hoping to get a drink in our birdbath, but with temperatures dipping in the low 30’s and high 20’s last night, the birdbath froze!

I went out and thawed the birdbath out with hot water from our teapot (next video).

Birds are definitely part of our environment and garden here at The Landing. I have really gotten into watching these critters, and I will keep making a beautiful and welcoming environment for our feathered friend here.
