Roommate argument escalates into multiple arrests in Fort Myers
FORT MYERS, Fla -- Police are investigating a disagreement between roommates that resulted in multiple people being taken into custody early Friday morning. Authorities entered the Fort Myers apartment with guns drawn. The incident happened at the Grand Apartments on Grand Avenue and Canal Street. Several people were removed from the apartment. Witnesses say the argument started after a man began demanding money from a woman inside the apartment. "I think they were probably in the wrong place at the wrong time," says Lauren Cap. Numerous people were being questioned at the scene, and at least four men and one woman were handcuffed and taken away from the scene. Cap says she thinks one of the suspects taken into custody was her friend. A vehicle parked in front of the apartment was raided and taken in as evidence by officers.
