In the depths of despair,
I stood alone,

My mind consumed by darkness and pain.
But I refused to let it be my throne,

And fought to break free from its cruel reign.
With each step forward,
I felt the strain,

But I kept pushing,
day by day.

And though the battle,
was hard to sustain,

I emerged victorious,
come what may.

I found strength in,
the love of those around,

And in the beauty of,
the world outside.

I learned to silence,
the negative sound,

And to embrace the light,
that I had denied.

Though the journey was long,
and hard to abide,

I never gave up,
I never gave in.

And now,
with my spirit fully revived,

I know that,
I can,
overcome, any thing.
