As always for America all human lives are not of equal value:
The double standard runs like a common thread through the statements of many Western politicians. Alleged or actual crimes are emotionally charged or trivialized, depending on who the perpetrators and who the victims are.
An example of this is John Kirby, the spokesman for the National Security Council in the White House, as this compilation shows. The victims of Hamas and Russia move Kirby to tears; However, things are completely different when it comes to Israel's victims. With them, Kirby is content with the succinct statement: "This is war. This is combat."
