Inspired by Genesis Chapter 39.

Once cast away by the jealousy of his brothers, young Joseph found himself in the heart of Egypt, a land foreign and grand. The whims of fate led him into the custody of Potiphar, a dignified officer of Pharaoh's court, captain of the royal guard. Joseph was sold as a slave, yet it was here, amidst the sands and ancient stones, that his life took a divine turn.

Joseph, with a heart untainted by resentment and eyes reflecting the heavens, stepped onto Egyptian soil, his spirit unbroken. Potiphar, a man of keen insight, saw more than a mere slave in Joseph; he saw a young man graced by God. The Lord's presence enveloped Joseph like a radiant mantle, shining through his deeds, rendering him successful in his endeavors, and soon, he won the favor of his master. In time, Joseph ascended to the position of overseer, his diligent hands managing all of Potiphar’s estate, bringing blessings not only upon himself but upon the house of Potiphar, whose wealth and prosperity flourished under Joseph’s stewardship. Potiphar entrusted everything to Joseph’s care, save for the food he ate.

But with prosperity came temptation's shadow. Potiphar's wife, entranced by Joseph’s comely appearance and grace, was swept away by forbidden desires. Her eyes, veiled with longing, pursued him, yet Joseph, a man of unwavering virtue, resisted her advances. "How can I commit such wickedness and sin against God?" he would retort, loyalty to his master and righteousness guarding his heart.

The days rolled on, each bringing with it the relentless advances of Potiphar’s wife, each met with Joseph’s steadfast refusal. However, fate wove a dark thread into the tapestry of Joseph's life. One day, as Joseph tended to his duties, he found himself alone with Potiphar’s wife. Seizing the opportunity, she lunged at him, her fingers clutching his garment as she tried to draw him close. But Joseph fled, leaving behind his garment in her deceitful grasp. Anger and scorn twisted her desire into a vengeful scheme. She cried foul, painting Joseph as the villain in her fabricated tale of assault.

As Potiphar returned, his wife spun her tale, holding forth Joseph’s garment as proof of her deceit. Potiphar’s face turned red with fury as he heard the concocted accusations against the virtuous Joseph. Without a second thought, he had Joseph cast into the royal prison, his heart ablaze with betrayal. Yet, amidst the cold stones of confinement, God’s mercy still cradled Joseph, granting him favor in the eyes of the prison keeper. Once again, Joseph found himself rising, his integrity shining forth in darkness, the divine narrative unfolding even within the prison walls.

The tale unveils the timeless essence of virtue and truth, a celestial drama woven through the earthly tapestry of Joseph's life, showcasing the unyielding nature of divine favor in the face of adversity.
