The state's official Christmas tree has been harvested in Onaway.

Vic Ruppert donated the 60-foot-tall spruce tree from his property in honor of his late wife, Shirley. The tree will be set up in front of the Michigan Capitol and lit up on November 17th during Lansing's annual Silver Bells in the City parade.
