In 1996, legendary German guitarist Manuel Gottsching - known both for his work on Ash Ra Tempel and for his solo career, with some albums released under the name Ashra - released a number of previously unreleased recordings dating from 1970 to 1979. Among them are totally improvised live recordings by Ash Ra Tempel, live and studio recordings by Ashra, with a few guest musicians, and studio recordings made only by Gottsching himself, some of them were used for radio broadcast by RIAS Berlin. There is also a track from Steeple Chase Bluesband, band that Gottsching and his partner Hartmut Enke were part of before forming Ash Ra Tempel with Klaus Schulze. In other words, a series that deserves a lot of attention from krautrock fans with a lot of gems that have been practically forgotten over time.
