I call it microwave mentality. We are no longer amazed by the freedom and opportunity in America because we have always had it. So we don't see how huge it really is. When people come here from other places they do see it, they have an "oh gosh" moment and it often leads to amazing wealth, proceeded by massive work and effort of course.

The best explanation for how to define wealth was actually buried into a patent for a geodesic dome by futurist and inventor Buckminster Fuller.
