Updated SHIFT TO PARK Video #shift to park

So the problem is 2017 Chev Malibu put it in park, and sometimes the dash will say SHIFT INTO PARK but its already in park,can't shut it off. Had it fixed one year ago under warrenty expired now,and they want at a dealers approximately $600 . Discussed this issue with some honest mechanics, dealers,and GM customer service. Figured this out for myself,

A) Could be the boot at the shifter stick, rubber boot should not be facing upward.
B) Switch in the console but before you go to change it. Read C)
C) According to a GM service bulletin,It says to press and release the actuator rod with your thumb 50 times. Guess it can get dirty ,but this is an important step not to miss.So what I tried and it worked instead of taking anything apart what I did was click the trigger on the shifter stick when it was in Park, the message on the dash disappeard , and I could shut it off.
D) I also heard a claim that dont put it in park and turn it off to fast count to ten, something about the vehicle rocks at time when you stop and shut it off to quick
