Saline County Young Republican Meeting 102623 Robert's Rule of Order procedure after Chair Vacated

The Saline County Young Republican Meeting of October 26th, 2023 was an attempt by Establishment Republicans to prevent conservatives from being voting members by using a chapter Constitution instead of the Arkansas Young Republican Constitution.

The YR Chair at the start of the meeting, Rusty Jackson, falsely claimed that several people were not eligible to vote. A few of his followers elected Drew Martin Chair, another person as Secretary, then left the meeting without fully adjourning. Jackson and his associates then left the meeting without any comment.

With Jackson and Martin leaving the meeting without adjournment, the chair position became vacant. Robert's Rules of Order were followed in the choosing of a new chair Allison Gray. Other officers were also elected.
