Allah said in this surah
You say! O disbelievers! I do not worship what you worship. And you do not worship what I worship. And I will not worship what you worshipped. And you are not worshipers of what I worship. For you is your religion and for me is my religion.

A group of Quraysh said to Tajdar-i-Resalat PBUH that you follow our religion and we will follow yours. One year you worship our gods, one year we will worship your gods. The Messenger of Allah PBUH, said to them, "I seek refuge in Allah from this, that I should associate with Him someone other than Him." We will confirm you and worship your god.This blessed Surah was revealed on him and the two scholars, may God bless him and grant him peace, went to the Sacred Mosque, and there was the group of Quraysh who asked the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace. It was a conversation. When the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) recited this Surah to them, they were disappointed and they asked the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) Companions of Allah, may God bless him and grant him peace Start inflicting pains on them.It should be remembered that in this verse, those infidels are meant who were deprived of faith in the knowledge of Allah and were about to die for disbelief.

Information obtained from the descent of the disbelievers:
A few things became clear from this:

(1)…Religious reconciliation with infidels is forbidden, but in many cases it is disbelief.

(2)… It is kufr to venerate the idols of the infidels and their religious days as worthy of veneration.

(3)… The heart of the believer should not be afraid of the disbelievers.

(4)…Infidels should not be remembered with good titles without a Shariah excuse.

(5)... It is correct to call an unbeliever an infidel at the time of need and occasion, but it is in accordance with the Qur'anic style.

Allah said: And I will not worship what you worship.}

A few things were known from this: (1) Man should be gentle in worldly affairs, but very strong in religion, so that the disbelievers are disappointed by him. 2) The Holy Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, knew about his future that he would never commit disbelief, polytheism and transgression.

Allah said:: And you are not the worshipers of what I worship.} From this it is known that Allah has informed His Beloved, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, about the good and bad end of people. He will die for unbelief and who will die for faith because here the word is being given to the unbelievers who were going to die for unbelief.

Allah said: For you is your religion and for me is my religion. That means for you your disbelief and for me my monotheism and my sincerity.

Is it Sunnah to recite Surah Al Kafiroon?
Yes, it is recommended to recite Surat al-Kafirun and Surat al-Ikhlas in the two Sunnah rak'ahs of Fajr and Maghrib. This is proven in the sahih Sunnah of the Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him)

When to read Surah Kafiroon?
As for the recitation of Soorah Al-Kaafiroon [Quran 109], then one should recite it as the last thing before sleeping, as it includes disassociating oneself from every kind of Shirk.
