Here's Why Austria Proves That Germany Should Be Neutral | M. Gehler & H. Gärtner

In the early 1950's, German reunification as a neutral state (outside of NATO) was on the table for 2 years. The same for Austria. One grabbed the chance and remained united, the other rejected it just to be separated by the iron curtain for 40 years. And today, the whole situation just got worse with the German's inside the worlds largest and most dangerous military alliance. Here's what Germany should have learned from the success of Austrian neutrality.
