This is another installment in my ongoing mandala art practice on Rumble. Mandalas have been used as a method for art therapy, and can be thought of in terms of Jungian Psychology. They are rooted in spiritual practices from traditions such as Buddhism. For me, painting mandalas is a way to enter a flow state where I can just have fun, and the process is more important than the finished product. Mandalas can be thought of as reflective of the unconscious mental emotional conditions and archetypes underlying the individual at that moment. It is interesting to see how they change depending upon the time and circumstances. This mandala is painted on a 12x12" canvas with acrylic paint.
