New Jersey Seeks Input On Expanding Marijuana Edibles To Include Infused Drinks Baked Goods And More
New Jersey marijuana regulators have initiated a public comment period to gather input on proposed rules that would expand the types of edible cannabis products available for sale in licensed shops. These proposed rules would allow for the sale of infused single-serving beverages with up to five milligrams of active THC, as well as a range of "shelf-stable foods," including chocolates, gummies, baked goods, butters, jams, and jellies. The expansion of product offerings is aimed at enhancing variety, safety, and quality while providing a convenient method for adults to access cannabis. Public comments on these regulations are encouraged and accepted until December 15. This move represents a step toward broadening New Jersey's cannabis market and improving the accessibility of cannabis products for consumers.
