During the House Republican conference's press conference in which they announced that Rep. Mike Johnson (R-LA) would be their nominee for House Speaker (he was later elected several hours later), several members laughed, booed and shouted at ABC News reporter Rachel Scott for asking a gotcha question about Johnson's past attempts to overturn the 2020 U.S. presidential election results. One of them, Rep. Virginia Foxx (R-NC) "Shut up!"
