With A One In A Million Chance, This Cancer Survivor Announces Pregnancy
The reaction is compounded by the fact that this inspiring mom is a breast cancer survivor and was meant to be medically infertile due to chemotherapy and other drugs taken during treatment.
The odds are about one in a million.
Their pregnancy was only discovered when she had surgery to remove ovaries as part of her cancer treatment. Watch to near the end to see the amazing reaction of this young girl's response when being told she is going to be a big sister.
The stepmom is asking Eve what is it that she has always wanted, but the girl has no clue as to what it might be. So they give her an envelope with a very sweet message from dad and stepmom on it. In a nutshell, the message says that inside the envelope is one very special surprise, something that she has always wanted. But she says she can’t remember, because what she always wants changes. That is quite refreshing to hear!
Trembling hands have a difficult time opening the envelope 3with the surprise inside, so mom steps in to help. When the top of the envelope comes off, two sonogram images pop out, making Eve think those are from her.
But when she then realizes that another baby will soon be on its way, the soon-to-be big sister bursts into tears, because no matter how many times she has changed her list of things she wants, a baby has always been on the very top of that list!
