Do we know where our music originates.? What is allowed to become the sound of the decade?

A snippet from Under the Silver Lake ... a depiction of an sinister underbelly of Hollywood, films, TV and Music. This is when the lead character meets 'The songwriter' His repulsion shown at the end in quite graphic violence. (To which I have added a few fade outs for the more squeamish!) .
Although this is a dramatized example, the truth of this scene is unmistakable.
It leaves you slightly shaken and asking 'have I been manipulated all my life by what I've been fed by not only Hollywood but by counter culture music.'. eeeeeek
Under the Silver Lake is a brilliantly impenetrable film. Just my cup of tea .... I come away thinking '#What does it all mean and when I figure that out perhaps I will do an Under the Silver Lake explained episode. Until then enjoy this creepy clip.
Its reminiscent of the Axis of Awesome and their 4 chord song for success that came many years before. Interestingly I have seen many guitar savvy friends perform the same feat with the same breath stopping surprise with just 3 chords ... but you wont find them on you tube!
