Tonight on Open Your Eye, Tarra Simpson has returned to the show with Kim Cooper. Our first interview for this fall season on NOK Network is with Russell Langhammer

Russell was a football player for 12 years, then went into body building after that. He was an athlete and in good physical condition his entire life.
He worked at a Texas airport, moving planes. He fell at work during a freak snowstorm and broke his back. He had badly damaged his L4, L5, & S1 vertebrae and doctors told him he would never walk again unassisted. Prescribed a variety of pharmaceuticals to help him deal with the pain, the harsh opiates changed his personality, though he wasn't even aware of it at the time. He had become angry, confrontational, he had become addicted to pharma. Slowly his friends and his family began to gravitate away from him.
After 7 years prescribed addictive pharmaceuticals, he realized where he was and began his journey to get off the prescribed medication using natural medicine., which included psychedelics.
Russell credits cannabinoid therapy as well as psilocybin- found in magic mushrooms for his recovery and dealing with the side effects of opiate withdrawal.
Russell has spoken at conventions on psychedelics, appeared on several podcasts, he has done a photo shoot to showcase his recovery, and is currently working on a few other ventures to spread the information about his journey back to health, utilizing natural therapies.
